Dear Horizon Families,
I hope everyone stayed cool and was able to relax and recharge this weekend! We have officially completed our first full week of school, and I am so pleased with the progress we have made thus far. Our students and staff are adjusting to routines, learning expectations, and working hard each day. Our safety drills were conducted this week and our students did a outstsanding job. It has been wonderful to see our Eagles settling in and beginning to soar!

Reminders:

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during morning carline! We know that mornings can be busy, but safety must always come first.
Please remember:
  • Do not exit your vehicle while in the carline.
  • Do not go around other vehicles. Please remain in the carline and wait your turn.
  • Carline closes at 7:35 a.m.
  • If you arrive after 7:35 a.m., you will need to park and walk your child into the front office.
Afternoon Carline Reminders
  • Please remain in your vehicle while waiting in the carline.
  • Please follow the directions of staff and pull forward as far as possible.
  • Do not go around other vehicles in the carline.
  • Please have your School Dismissal Manager (SDM) information ready so we can locate your student quickly. (you will be asked to go to the front office to show your drivers license if you do not have your SDM carline tag)
  • Please be patient as we work to safely dismiss all students.
  • If you need to speak with a staff member or visit the office, please park in a designated parking space rather than leaving your vehicle in the carline.
  • Remember, student safety is our top priority!
  • A little patience and kindness go a long way.

School Procedures & Expectations
Parents, we sincerely appreciate your cooperation and your efforts to follow our school procedures. These expectations help us keep everyone safe and ensure that our school day runs smoothly. If you ever have a question or are unsure about a procedure, please contact the front office. We are happy to help!

Dismissal & School Dismissal Manager

Please remember that we use School Dismissal Manager to communicate transportation changes and help us locate students during dismissal.
If you have not already done so, please make sure you:
  • Download the School Dismissal Manager app
  • Update your child's default dismissal/transportation information
  • Make transportation changes in the app as needed
  • Having accurate information helps us make dismissal as safe and efficient as possible.
  • Your one-time login information/code was emailed to you. Please check your spam or junk folder if you do not see it in your inbox.

BREAKFAST IS FREE FOR ALL STUDENTS!

We encourage our families to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. A nutritious breakfast helps our students start their day ready to learn, grow, and energy to succeed!
