Save the Date for the Fall Book Fair and Sign Up to Volunteer

The Fall Book Fair is almost here, and we would love your help to make it a success! We are looking for parent volunteers to assist with set-up on October 24th and to help throughout the fair. Please make sure you have your background check completed to volunteer. Here are some of the ways you can lend a hand:

Before the Fair

  • Unpack and set up book displays/signage.
  • Add festive fall decorations to the library (scarecrows, balloon arches, pumpkins, leaves, etc.)
    • If you’d like to donate any decorations, please let Ms. Walden know!
  • Organize and price items.
During the Fair
  • Greet families and help them find books.
  • Assist younger students with wish lists.
  • Assist students with calculating their totals after taxes.
  • Monitor traffic flow and restock displays.
  • Keep decorations tidy and displays organized.
  • Share “teacher wish lists” with families interested in donating
  • Help monitor student groups visiting the fair
After the Fair
  • Help pack up unsold books and materials.
  • Take down decorations.
  • Return the media center/library to its usual setup.
