I graduated from Bob Jones in 2004, and started my college career with Calhoun Community.  In 2007 I transferred to Athens State where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 2010.

I was a sub for the Madison City Schools system for a year before Rainbow Elementary hired me as their Extended Day director.  After the winter break I solely worked with special needs in an inclusion setting.  I worked with Madison City School's special need program until I was hired here at Horizon Elementary as a third grade teacher.

I was born in Cocoa Beach, Florida and moved to Madison, Alabama all the way back in 1997.  As the kids would say, "wow, that was a LONG time ago."  I have absolutely never regretted the move.  Madison has been a wonderful place to grow up and learn.  I consider myself lucky that my parents picked up and moved here.

I live at home with my parents, my two brothers and three wonderful rescue babies.  Bosco is the grumpiest cat you'll ever meet.  Heinz and Woodley, on the other hand, are the most peculiar dogs you'll ever know.  I wouldn't have them any other way.

"Who do you go for?" is always answered by Ohio State Buckeyes much to the children's dismay.  They can't understand why I'm not head over heels for the SEC!  I also root hard for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
